Gualala Water Rate Increase Hearing

We attended to the Water Rate increase hearing in Gualala operated by the PUC last night. Uneventful-- as NGWC has not applied for an increase in 18 years. There was one person there that claimed that NGWC water caused his skin to blister. Most were complimentary of John Bower Jr attempts to run a tight ship. The PUC hearing was not well attended and spoke volumes regarding the lack of information that is available to the Gualala community.

3/24/08 Trip to Ukiah

Wayne and I traveled to Ukiah yesterday. We met with our attorney, and with Ross Mayfield, candidate for Supervisor. Ross is a "down home" kind of fellow and we are assessing whether to throw the PRFM support behind Ross Mayfield.

Redwood Coast Loggers Conference

The President and Secretary attended the Redwood Coast Loggers Conference today. John Mayfield gave the Keynote Speech. He did a good job. Stories of old Ukiah (sorry John!) and Private Property Rights infringing on today's industry in Mendocino County
